Abstract Submission Guideline

1. Please read the instructions carefully, as abstracts submitted not according to these instructions will not be accepted.

 

2. Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the official congress website (www.mhrs-summit.com). Abstracts sent by post, fax or email WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Delegate may submit more than ONE abstract (please use the same email address).

 

3. Incomplete abstract submission will not be accepted.

 

4. Case Content Topic Criteria:

  • Fascinating ECGs

  • Intracardiac EGMs & 3D

  • Device Tracings & CIED Implants

 

5. Submission for the MHRS Summit Best of Arrhythmia Grand Ward Rounds 2024 is open to all. The abstract should be written in English.

 

6. Only submissions received by 11:59PM (Malaysian time) on Sunday, 3rd November 2024 (extended) will be eligible for participation. Late submission will not be accepted.

 

7. An acknowledgement email will be sent to you once you have successfully submitted your abstracts.

 

8. All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by a panel of expert reviewers. The MHRS Summit 2024 Committee reserves the right to re-categorise any accepted abstract. The decision of the committee is final and irrevocable.

 

9. Selected cases would be informed via email & phone call by Wednesday, 13th November 2024.

 

10. Please note that:

  • Selected Cases must be presented live at the EQ Hotel during the Summit to qualify.

  • The main author of the selected abstracts will be eligible for complimentary entry to MHRS Summit 2024.

  • Timing of case presentations will also contribute to points:

        - Presentation: 10 mins

        - Q&A from Panellists: 10 mins

  • Pre-judging of selected cases will be by invited Faculty & Committee from the private sector only.

11. Judging criteria will be provided to selected hospitals only with guidelines on actual presentation criteria and format.

12. All submission must be made via our website at https://www.mhrs-summit.com/abstract. Submission made via email will not be entertained.

Additional Submission Instructions

1. Title: Capitalised each word except prepositions (e.g. as, or, for, and, with). The use of abbreviations in the title of the case is not allowed.

 

2. Author and co-authors: The first name is the presenting author. First name/middle name use initial, last name (surname) in full. Do not use titles (e.g. Dr) or degrees (e.g. MD). When more than one author are listed, use numbers to match authors and institutions.

 

3. Affiliations: Department, institution/hospital/organisation. Do not include the address. Example:

 

4. Layout: The abstract must be in a single paragraph containing not more than 350 words (Tables or graphs allowed should not be included).  ***Simple table or figure may be included. A table or a figure equals 100 words and is included as part of the 350 words limit. Figures should be of a high resolution and have a file type of “jpg” or “jpeg”.***

 

5. The abstract text should have the following subheadings in bold:

  • Background

  • Case description

  • Decision making

  • Conclusions

6. Do not include references and credits in the case abstract submission. Use of standard abbreviations are desirable. Place special or unused abbreviations in parentheses after the full words the first time it appears in the case submission.

Important Note:
  1. Abstracts are subjected to approval by the scientific committee and will be accepted upon full registration of the author as a participant of the MHRS Summit 2024. A case may be accepted for oral presentation in AGWR or e-poster presentation (non-moderated), or it may be rejected.

  2. Any abstract that has been presented orally or as a poster at previous national or international meetings in this or any other society will not be considered eligible for presentation at this meeting.

  3. Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted.

  4. The main authors will receive the email notification of abstract acceptance/ rejection via e-mail latest by 13th November 2024. The notification email will include information on the presentation format, date/time and venue.

  5. A unique registration link for the complimentary registration will be provided to the presenting author, and the author MUST register as a participant for the conference before the deadline on 30th November 2024 to be eligible for the oral or e-poster presentation (non-moderated).
